Description

The Edgecore AS7816-64X is a high-performance Top-of-Rack (TOR) or spine switch designed for data centers. It provides line-rate L2 and L3 switching across 64 QSFP28 ports, each supporting 1 x 100 GbE or 1 x 40 GbE. Additionally, using breakout cables, it can support 4 x 25 GbE or 4 x 10 GbE, reaching a maximum of 128 logical ports. This open network switch comes with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), which facilitates the installation of compatible Network Operating System (NOS) software, including both open source and commercial NOS options. The DCS500 can function as a TOR switch with 10/25 GbE connections to servers and 40/100 GbE uplinks, or as a spine switch with 40/100 GbE interconnects.
